Abstract

This session will discuss the fight for Affirmative Action "in the courts and in the streets." Driver will be detailing her experience as lead counsel in the Schuette case as well as arguing the case in front of the Supreme Court. Douglass will discuss his role as Chair of the Defend Affirmative Action Party at UC Berkeley as well as his experience as a local By Any Means Necessary (BAMN) Organizer. This session is especially encouraged for those interested in grassroots activism and campus politics.
